tvaren, perhaps you could compare and contrast the relative levels of patriotism involved between fighting global terrorism, and returning from a war, accusing your commrades-in-arms of war crimes, throwing away your medals, and then running a presidential campaign as the 'war hero'.

This election is a very sad state of affairs for the American people. At least the ones that are concious enough to have an inkling of what's going on. This election you have to choices devil #1 or devil #2. The American public is (has) being played like a harp. This election is basically the Government / Military Industrial complex telling you : Here are our canidates and you're going to get one or the other and you're going to fucking like it. The Government is getting bolder in what they tell its citizenry what to do. Shit just like the g8 we just had here. They relocated the 'place' of protest 80 miles away and told us that they would shoot if neccessary, or in other words :

Bush has a very important meeting with lots of other very important rich elite people and we have to have this meeting to decide how we're going to manage the lot of you sheep that inhabit this planet

Not to mention prior to G8, Bush was in Italy at the super secret BilderBerg meeting.
Bush and Kerry are the two sides of the same coin and when you know their ties in Skull and Bones and what that means you would realize how ridiculous this election is. Kerry is really no different than Bush, he's all about keeping our troops in Iraq (handover == bullshit). So I guess the morale of the story is this : There should be a more prominent role of other politcal parties in the U.S. there should be hundreds (thousands) of them. The more prominent other parties can the more power can be taken away from this bi-partisan loop thats going on, its like the difference between coke or pepsi, it doesn't matter which you like better , you're still drinking FUCKING COLA! So this Bush said this about Kerry and vice versa is all just a public game for the monkey to throw their shit at......that's about all I have at the moment.

Kerry didn't throw away his medals, he's admitted to throwing away FAKE medals, as a symbolic gesture. Apparently, nobody knows who did or did not commit any war crimes over in Vietnam, but there are groups of people who even say Kerry himself was committing some atrocities. That's not really any of my concern, and it happened decades ago -- around the same time Bush was avoiding battle altogether, like a little bitch.

When I say Kerry's a patriot, I mean it. He came back and tried to convince his fellow Americans that the war in Vietnam was wrong. Turns out, he was right. Not only did we not win, but Vietnam is STILL a communist country. We made the wrong decision there, and he opposed it after doing his duty. At least he DID his duty. Now he opposes the new war, because it's wrong.

I could be mistaken, but this close to Independence Day, isn't it a good time to remember that the Declaration of Independence says we're supposed to oppose attempts at tyranny and bad governance?
