I don't know. The actual article was in Norweigen. But if I'm not mistaken (and my album covers don't lie) that's the eye that's permenently dialated and blind already from his notorious 'I've got a metal plate in my forehead' accident, (1971) after which he appeared on stage with, and I'm not making this up, a big metal plate exposed in his forehead.
