If you raise a child, it's your kid, carpet muncher or not. I've raised several kids, and only made a couple of them. It doesn't make them any less my children. When the courts recognise true parenthood, the burden on society will be lessened drastically.

If you have one you're not particularly attached to that's above the age of 8, I'd be interesting in discussing a swap with you. I have some old hardware laying around you might find useful. I trust you will have raised an interesting child taht doesn't cry any more or need diapers and you should believe me when I say I have some great well-maintained legacy computers you might find fun.

Why don't you make your own. Then you can sell the hardware to pay expenses.
