Dude the prisoner abuse was known for a long time, long before the video came out. And the abuse was known for a long time especially by those prisoners who had to endure it... word got out. Many people have been complaining to Senators and Congressmen about the conditions in these prison camps for over a year now and their letters and complaints were ignored. Your fucked up conspiracy theories are not going to work. There are actually many rational thinkers here. Believe it or not!

I agree with BeachGo-At. I never go in for conspiracy theories, as they're usually the lame biased work of shitty-minded paranoids, but this whole shit is stacking up in a wierd way.

You have to give Alex Jones some credit - he actually puts a lot of work into his research, and on the topic of the WTC he's presented a much more believable case than the government has.

That aside, what would be the point of staging this particular atrocity? We no longer have any need to persuade Americans to hate Iraqis, or to want revenge. It would just be a waste of time and energy to fabricate something like this.

I've already seen several of them. The only downside is that he gets really aggravated and glares at the camera. Most of the people who've watched him with me feel that makes his assertions less compelling, but I think he has every right to be pissed.

Even so, I'm still skeptical of this particular issue. Like Vas, I'm willing to entertain just about anything, but I can't quite wrap my head around the potential reasons for staging this kind of thing. Sure, the psychological retaliation for the prison scandal is good, and that does make the timing quite suspect, but that alone isn't convincing enough, even coupled with the anecdotal evidence placing Berg at a different location, or the theory that Zarqawi was dead prior to these events. I just don't believe there could be collusion between us and them on this thing (as some have postulated).

Ok I'm done rambling.

At the risk of becoming a 'hated' noob...I think our governement would do it because they don't care about the 'average' citizen. Especially one who would go overseas and try to make $ off a war that they're losing $ on. Bush and his butt-buddies have screwed up our country and now they've screwed up Iraq too.
