| | | WOW... that's pretty impressive. Handy I guess. But, a lot of the questions are somewhat ambiguous. So, kinda difficult to judge it's accuracy. Helpful none the less. | | | |

| |
| | | What I found disturbing about this little exercise is that despite the number of disagreements I have with Bush's policies, his opponents are clearly far, far worse alternatives.
If voting is limited to this list of assoels, based on the criteria this questionairre provides ... Bush is the only choice.
Which, as earlier pointed out, I find disturbing.

|
| |
| | | Shit, on the Quiz I matched John Kerry 100% hahaha oh yeah and apparently I would rather see al sharpton for president before GWB | | | |

Yes. The two concepts fit well together.

| | | engled : Bush 100%, must be a bunch of whiny liberals on the swarm today...
Ah, the consummate Republican propaganda-meme: all liberals and democrats are "whiny". Kinda takes the fun out of thinking when you shortcut it like that, doesn't it?
|
|
| |
| | | Kerry comes up 73% for me.
I'm trying hard to seriously recalibrate my responses to obtain a choice besides Bush.
I suspect that Bush will continue to be the only option until I can accept that:
1) abortion should be a "right", rather than merely legal
2) feedom of religion means you cannot be allowed to pray in a public school
3) abridging the right of the people to keep and bear arms is NOT unconstitutional
4) the government should be allowed to kill it own citizens
5) that there should be no choices regarding education other than government sanctioned public indoctrination ... er ... education.
6) that the U.N. should have any political authority whatsoever.
7) that is OK to enslave every person earning a paycheck so that the government can give away "free" healthcare, retirement plans, food, and shelter to whomsoever they deem "deserves" it.
8) that every job out there is worth at leat $5.15 an hour, and it is appropriate for the government to force employers to pay it.
9) that it is clearly the business of the government to decide for us what kind of automobiles we should be driving "for our own good."
It's not likely to happen though.
The Socialists ... er ... Democrats have got to get classical about their liberalism, otherwise they are no better, and probably worse, than their Crypto-Fascist ... er ... Republican opponents.

| | | I shall vote for My Anus. | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | I might write Your Anus in. | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | 1. Edwards (thot he was out?)
2. Bush (hmm...don't agree lots)
3. Kerry (don't agree lots more)
I want to know where they all stand on legalizing illegal immigrants. That question wasn't on there.

| |
| | | Argh. Rant/ I keep hearing reporters and random heads spouting "turn it over to the UN" crap buzzing around the Iraq war like flies.
Has anyone checked the record of the UN lately? They _hate_ the US. Start with small things like the kangaroo court in which China and a few other nations voted the US off the committee for human rights. Um...Tibet is just a "province" and the Dalai Lama is head of an organization which exploits their population and has no meaningful signifigance. Then let's move on to more serious things liike, oh...Rwanda? Yeah. The UN can handle it.
Unfortunately, I think we're going to have to pay for years to come...be it in dollars or reputation once the EU gets really rolling. /Rant

Go SNM's Anus! | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | Go go gadget Candidate Anus! | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | I got Edwards at 100%. Doesn't matter though because I don't vote any more. Every time you vote you take part in a self delusional travesty that tells a corrupt, hypocritical system (that doesn't give you much of a choice any way) that it should continue it's program of turning us all into mindless, rightless, techno-serfs. | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | I don't believe my results...I mean, I have Clark at 100%. Meh... | | | |
|
|
| |

2.Kerry-97%
3.Bush-97%
4.Kucinich-97%
5.Clark-93%
6.Edwards-91%
WTF | | | |

|
| |
| | | 1) If you don't vote, you shouldn't bitch about what goes on with you gubment. If nothing else, you have the right to say "hey, don't blame me, i didn't vote for that prick". If you don't vote, you have given up a fundamental right. Giving up your rights leads to fascism.
2) The UN couldn't break up a cookie fight at a Brownie meeting.
3) Any vote cast is for the least "evil" candidate.
|
|
| |
| | | tank: 1) If you don't vote, you shouldn't bitch about what goes on with you gubment.
So if my girlfriend doesn't get pregnant, she shouldn't have a stance on abortion?
If I don't buy a car, I'm not allowed to say Yugos suck?
If I never commit a murder, I'm supposed to remain neutral on the death penalty?
Bullshit, sir. Clearly. An informed opting-out is a valid choice within the system.
|
|
| |
| | | Exactly! In fact if you refuse to vote you can bitch even more because no matter what attrocities the government committs you won't be in any way to blame. If you vote it's all your fault! Bastards! | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | If every asshole who intentionally "opts out" of their vote could kindly get together and leave the fucking country, then the rest who participate would have a much easier time regulating this country, with it's newly-reduced population and lack of non-participant whining. | | | |

You either miss the point entirely or you're being intentionally provacative.
A conscious decision to not vote is a valid vote. The constitutional right to exercise the franchise distinctly implies the right to not exercise it any time I see fit.
I choose to refuse to support a corrupt and unresponsive system. The lesser of 2 evils is still evil. Democrats and Republicans are equally intent on ripping up the constitution they just want to start ripping at opposite ends.
The real problem is not the handful that refuse to vote. The problem is the millions of lemmings who vote along party lines without examining the issues and millions of sheep who vote for the lesser of two evils.
If you vote you are the problem not part of the solution. If you vote it's all your fault.
| | | |
|
|
| |
| | | I agree. If you don't vote, you can't bitch about the gov. If you can't get pregnant, you don't have an opinion on abortion. If you sit on your ass and do nothing, than you ARE dead weight, so SHUT THE FUCK UP OR VOTE YOU COMMIE FUCK HEAD PIECE OF SHIT BASTARDS!!! The wisest, most informed person in the World is useless without action. Vote. Doesn't matter who, just vote. Or leave. Dead weight commie bastards... | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | Touchy, aren't we?
I am taking informed action. I am actively refusing to cast a ballot.
If you vote the resulting chaos and corruption is your personal responsibility and I'll remind you of that fact every chance I get.
|
|
| |
| | | Vote for... who? Crap candidate one, or crap candidate two?
Thought experiment: what if next voting campaign, only 30% of America voted? And the one after that, only 20%? Don't you think someone might realize the current two-party "Dumb or Dumber" voting McHappyMeal ain't working? Someone can back up my figures, but I think I remember the voter turnout last election being ridiculously low. That's an indication people want reform, and a start in the appropriate direction.
I want better than a two-party system. I want write-ins that actually have a serious shot. I want multiple Independent candidates that actually have a fuking chance. I don't see any of this in the current shit.
I say all this because I think the always-heard-Dad-say-it rhetoric of "can't bitch if ya don't vote" is about as sensible as "can't win if ya don't play." Opting out is a valid choice. Granted, many who make it aren't thinking the right thing and are just lazy imbeciles -- but that doesn't rule out the validity of the option.
But I'll still vote, cause I'm not an idealist -- I only play one on LS.
|

Hey, It's a start. | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | Thank you, Azron, love you, too. I wrote in Leary and Abbey Hoffman for the first two Reagan then Bush elections. I am hip to the lack of choice, but a voice IS a voice. Speak. And yes, I am touchy. I am a crabby redneck sumbitch crotchity old goat sittin' on a beach complainin' about fuckin' everything all the freakin' time. But I vote and pay taxes, so I gots the right. Dog bless America. | | | |
