a fairly common, and rather easy way to launder money is a record store (if you have one near you that doesn't seem to ever do any business, there you go) ... i would love to see the video of the first time this riaa "squad" raids some drug front record store. it'll be a bloodbath.

This is very, very interesting...another step in the direction of corporate control over civil and poltical rights. Alot of social theorists argue that the state is becoming less and less important, and the usual functions of the state, like law-making and law-enforcement, are being farmed out, "privatized," to corporations as they grow more and more wealthy, and more and more powerful. It's no wonder Bush and Ashcroft seek to disembowel the Constitution - if they don't the corporate elite will. What effect do you suppose this trend has on real democratic control of our society? Yet another blow to civil liberties if you ask me. Thanks, Lucky, for posting.
