“Notwithstanding the fate of H.R.
3962, America will someday come to
recognize the broad social and
economic benefits of a not-for-profit,
single-payer health care system, which
is good for the American people and
good for America’s businesses, with of
course the notable exceptions being
insurance and pharmaceuticals.”
I think this point is underrated. When the many see how much better the (very) few are getting it then they will feel it in their wallets. That is how real change comes about. The republitards have got to feel cheated and they will start throwing Rx parties and marching on Washington with their guns strapped on.
| | | | | Got TextWar? | | The lack of actual statistics (from a reputable source) makes this suspect, but other than the lack of reliable numbers he claims, it's a pretty good assessment of the national good that does come from a universal med system. When 15% percent of your potential workforce is without medical coverage, that's a lot of sick days , from which any number of businesses, and even industry, might fail to recover from. | | | |

that, or they will believe it is a vast liberal conspiracy and turn towards theocracy.

i think what he is mainly referring to is the fact that in other countries employers do not have to offer healthcare because the government takes care of them. and so american businesses have to assume extra costs.
| | | | | Got TextWar? | | That ,too, dae su, but currently , there's zip affordable for the unfortunates in the U.S. Even here in Canucklia, companies will pay the provincial med tab/employee/ month, or another commercial insurance coverage, like I had back in Hellberta, IF it's not completely tax supported, and you don't pay another cent. (That stuff's each provinces prerogative though).
Provincial Med. coverage is a pretty standard perk for working for someone in this province, and with certain large/essential employers, and several other factors, is either a federal or provincial law

the number of administrators has increased by 3000%.
Kucinich is against jobs
He's right in theory, but wrong, perhaps misguided, in implementation.
| | | | | | | Kucinich is against jobs
if the job is to created w/ the end goal of denying ppl coverage, can you fault him for this position? working for blackwater is a job, does that mean that i'm misguided if i want to abolish private military contractors?
| | | | | | | Yes, there is nothing like creating wasteful, unproductive jobs, such as muddle managers. I'm sure they add much to society. | | | |

But who will manage the muddle, then? I'm not going to do it. I have chickens to feed.
