| | | Larry Terenzi does not know what he is talking about. The man is a writer trying to take the opposing stance on a film to gain recognition. I am amazed that the article he wrote was published on msnbc.
I have to agree with some of the things he is saying, but he must realize that there is a difference in novel to film translations. No matter HOW WELL you do it, it will NEVER... and i mean.. ABSOLUTELY 100% NEVER be the same as written word. Larry is obviously unaware of this.
The man has an issue with the speed of the narrative. That is pretty funny, maybe his remote cannot switch off MTV. I think that we (those who have seen the extended versions) can openly admit that the addition 40 or so minutes add a great depth to the story and do fill in some blanks.
NOTE... the film's extended version is the actual movie. This is the way it was shot to begin with. Producers cut movies down to size in order to feed a ADHD audience like Mr. Larry here.
So what if this Larry character played D&D, rolled dice and read BOOKS. I mean, does that make him an authority on science fiction and movie making? His argument is full of holes and it holds no water what-so-ever. I do see that there are some minor flaws in the LOTR series, but to hate it is this man's lonely cry for attention.
Go suck a fuck Mr. Larry.

| | | Larry is a longtime Los Angeles asshole and when I lived there I used to dread his articles in the times. He always tries to be the guy that is "smarter" than everything and nothing ever measures up to what he thinks it should be. He just likes to criticise shit like this so he can seem smarter than the general public. I'm sure he masterbated furiously to Legolas throughout the whole film. | | | |

| | | I know I did!
I mean NO! NO!!!! | | | |

| | | Terenzi is an "entertainment writer based in Los Angeles." And what are his main critiques of the film? It's too slow, there's too much gay innuendo between the main characters, Gandalf's return reeks of "deux (sic) ex machina," and he didn't like the fact that TTT ends as though it's the middle part of a trilogy. All critiques I'd expect from an L.A. entertainment writing fool, in the city of fast living and meaningless relationships, from which one never can leave unscathed. | | | |

| | | at films. Well lets look at his argument against LOTR, mby he'll have a point. Okey its full of plot holes he says, hmm i only see him mentioning 3. Lets read hmm. . . Elrond doesnt kill the king of gondor and one of his freinds, I thought a plot hole was something that couldnt be explained. Oh well whats next; A gay joke.
Hmm whats last Boromir dies and Gandalf comes back after supposedly dieing at the hands of the balrog. Read the fucking books you jackhole that is what happens.
My closing thought what a sad little man

| | | Seems to me that what this dikfuk has as much a problem with the original work as the movie. If Elrond shoves Isuldir to his death at the beginning, the story ends before it starts. Or did I miss something? I bet this stoopid fuk can't handle the tragic flaws in Shakespeare. | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | Well when you start your story off with an unbelievable act ... the story becomes unbelievable. | | | |
|
|
| |
| | | Holy shite! You mean i'm supposed to beleive it's real? Wake the fuk up. | | | |

| | | Suspension of disbelief, y0. Otherwise all the stories you're going to get are the ones as boring as your own life. | | | |

| | | Suspension of disbelief and unbelievable acts of stupidity are two entirely different things. | | | |
