Turk: I just can't see the point of this critique of yours. It seems that the folks (and justice system) in Mexico find rape and murder repugnatnt.
If your gripe is with the enforcement officers, I'll just point out that in our own country we have our own set of Barnito Pfeiffez types.
Try imagining what it would be like living in country where law enforcement had all the resources that our agencies have, but did not waste those resources running down folks who'd like to smoke and have a beer at the tame time, or bust up rogue un-permitted lemonade stands, or crack down on brare headed motorcycle operation.
It seems that we suffer form too many rules, and Mexico suffers from not enough resources. Both arrive (IMHO) from tyrannical elements of our respective governments. I think Fred's point in the above article is that even the Mexicans appear to possess a ceetain amount of personal responsibility, and personal liberty that we don't have, and it also appears to benefit them. Why can't such personal responsibilty and liberty be had here?
Answer: Nanny statists require the abdication of personal responsibilty to achieve their goal of crushing idividual liberty and bringing back slavery.
