You know, I am starting to think that McCain is looking for excuses to stop campaigning whenever he can. With the whole hurricane IKE thing during the RNC it looked masterful. However, repeated attempts at stopping the campaign are starting to make it look like he is up to something. If he thinks that he can stop it for a week because some unwed teen wants to get married before she goes in to labor on the alter, then now they are just looking desperate.

He was already looking pretty desperate with the whole 'must save prom' campaign halt that he fumbled.

I'd say, yeah, his campaign has figured out that its greatest strength are peoples' pre-conceived notions, and that the best way to capitalize on those is not to disrupt them with further appearances.
