| | | When it is out of beta...in like 10 years. | | | |
| |
| | | silly linux users. sharts for you | | | |
| |
| | | Yeah, aren't you Linux users supposed to be like McGyver or something? Go make your own browser out of a paper clip and some chewing gum. | | | |
| |
| | | 'It's as fast as opera so far. :> '
Yeah, but can it do irc and torrents and mouse gestures and newsgroups and...?
| |
| | | Sounds like you're trying to describe an operating system. | | | |
| |
| | | Works pretty good. Ima play with this for a while. | | | |
| |
| | | Opera does all that stuff. If I switched browsers I'd have to install a bunch of apps to replace the functionality. I'll gave Chrome a fare shake, though. | | | |
| |
| |
| |
| | | It's very slick looking and fast as hell too. Just needs a few extensions, adblock mainly, and I'll seriously consider using it exclusively. | | | |
| |
| | | Well, Mozilla does all those things too, but only n00bs use those bloatsuites. There are better [every one of those nouns]. | | | |
| |
| |
| |
| | | Fuck, I'm pretty sure I'm done with FF after only tooling around with this shit for a little while. I heart the drag a tab anywhere on the desktop and create an entirely new browser instance.
Pages load quick ass hell, too.
Nice. | | | |
| |
| | | No middle-click scroll? That's not an extension, that's a basic way of UI life. | | | |
| |
| | | Once they get the mac shitz going, and they add a download helper, Ima rarin to go. | | | |
| |
| | | 'I heart the drag a tab anywhere on the desktop and create an entirely new browser instance.'
I like that about Opera, too.
| |
| | | You should keep that shitz then, yo. | | | |
| |
| | | It'll stay my default unless Chrome does something impressive enough to lure me away. | | | |
| |
| | | You don't want no drama
don't want no drama, drama
| |
| |
| |
| | | Here is my take on Opera. I'm as technical as a Rainbow Gathering bonfire, so I'll put this in Gh0stie terms.
Opera is like the smooth, cultured European who is dating your ex. You run into them at a party, and you're cool with it. As soon as your ex goes to use the ladies room, Opera tries to slip you the tongue in a corner.
Make any sense?
Me either....Carry on...
| |
| | | Dude, Opera is totally fag and he's fucking your ex. | | | |
| |
| | | failz on production, various... | | | |
| |
| |
| |
| | | ^ ditto; they need to work on the CSS rendering. | | | |
| |
| |
| |
| | | still though, fast as hell. | | | |
| |
| | | Is that a male or a female Opera in your analogy, ghostrider? Because if it's a smooth, cultured European female dating my ex, I totally cool with it. As long as she has mouse gestures and a news/mail/rss client integrated, I mean. | | | |
| |
| |
| |
| | | aren't there supposed to be gears (add ons lol) for it somewhere? | | | |
| |
| | | Retitling link 'MstrLance's Opera Hangups Thread'. | | | |
| |
| |
| |
| | | ^^ oh really? that page not found link really confirms it i guess.
also, using chrome to post/comment/submit anything sucks apparently
according to their current eula at least
| |
| | | for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services
Not exactly a transference of ownership, chicken little. By my read, they're helping themselves to the right to feature your web commentary in little browser commercials.
| |
| |
| |
| | | That CNN review is... um.
Utterly incomprehensible.
Anecdotal at best.
And smells of money (in this case, Microsoft's).
In other words, basically like everything else CNN is doing these days.
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| | | for you nigers who want to use chrome but wont because of ads, with a little niggery pokery, use this until an adblock plugin (gear?) comes out
coontang | | | |
| |
| | | ^Or you can use an ad server list in your hosts file. I've been rollin' that way for a couple years now. It doesn't catch everything, but it does kill most ads, and it works in Chrome. | | | |
