I think she's a *hero because she knew she was carrying a down syndrome kid and didn't abort it. I believe TPM mentioned that her town's population is something like a 34th of the size of Obama's district as a state senator in Chicago. This is not a good call, but it is a fun call, and I'm all about fun.
I'm waiting for the Joe vs. Sarah debate/death match! I was just lurking on another board where everyone (men and women) are giggling like school girls saying she is kick ass, awesome and a wonderful choice! A mother of 5 with the youngest only 4 months old with downs syndrome. She thumbs up for drilling in the Alaska, a life long member of the NRA....PRO LIFE PRO FAMILY and BTW don't piss off her sister!
I'm off to get an abortion. I don't need one but I may as well get one while still can!
In an interview just a month ago, she dissed the job, saying it didn’t seem “productive.”
In fact, she said she doesn’t know what the vice president does.
Larry Kudlow of CNBC’s “Kudlow & Co.” asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain ticket mate.
Palin replied: “[A]s for that V.P. talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the V.P. does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that V.P .slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.
She has a 4 month old with downs syndrome. A 44 year old woman with an infant with multiple medical issues... WTF? I'm guessing the nanny/nurse takes care of the baby while she is out trying to make money for her husbands company.
For all the biblethumps, this pick just reinforces their belief that:
A. You can get by in life without any talent, education, or fucking brains and still get nominated for Vice Prez of the US.
B. God rewards those that don't abort (even mongoloids in the tummy).
C. If you pray hard enough, your dreams can come true.
D. Shit see... there is a good ole' gal that I can have a beer with.
This decision just crystalizes the differences between the thinkers and the believers. And, if for some reason that Obama doesn't win, I am already acquiring residency in another country. These things take time, so I thought that I should start.
God Bless the United States of America.... fucking joke of the world.
Rumor going around is, that little Trig is actually there grandchild.
'what I am finding is that the oldest girl is rumored to have actually been the one who had the last baby, the one with Down’s Syndrome. She was taken out of school the last 4 or 5 months of her mother’s pregnancy.
On March 5th, 2008 Alaska’s Republican Governor, Sarah Palin, announced to the media that she was 7 months pregnant with her 5th child. She is currently 44.
The controversy arises from two sources: First, Palin does not appear preganant in any recent photographs. The announcement came as quite a shock to people who had worked closely with her, and have been quoted as saying that she did not appear pregnant whatsoever during the prior 7 months.
Second, Palin’s daughter Bristol is 16 and attends an Anchorage high school. Students who have attended class with her report that she has been out of school for months, claiming a prolonged case of mono.
Apparently, this rumor has made the rounds in the upper echelon of the Alaska legislature, and is a closely guarded secret. As far as I know, this rumor has not been discussed by any media outlets, in Alaska or otherwise.
The points here are based mostly upon hearsay, and I’m not trying to destroy an innocent family. However, a Republican politician hiding a pregnant teenage daughter seems rather newsworthy'
Also I was reading this which seems to add truth to this matter.
'Trig was not slated to arrive until May 18th, which makes him exactly one month early. Gov. Palin actually went into labor while in Texas for yesterdays Governors Forum, where she delivered the Keynote Address, but flew back to Alaska to give birth at the Mat-Su Valley Regional Medical Center.'
Is ok to go into labor in Texas and fly to Alaska to have a baby????
Sadly, no. I always assume that (unlike the teeming modern hordes of their gulled constituents) they're generally a lot smarter than this, or at least more careful.
Hey. You. Yeah, you, anonymous person. If you logged in, you could comment, you know...
