These kite surfers are clipped into a harness, they hold onto that bar to steer the kite. I don't know if there is an emergency release or not. I'll tell you he got slung a long damn way to hit that building, after he hit the sand. I drew a line and from about where he hit the sand to where we see he hit that condo it was 194 feet over two lanes of traffic and half way in a parking lot.
