Although the USA of course denies the number of civilian deaths in Iraq it is estimated several hundred thousand died for 'shock and awe'. When you completely destroy the civilian infrastructure and then invade and indiscriminately shoot at everything that moves 200,000 deaths is probably grossly underestimated the true death toll.

GDP is not a good indicator to determine standard of living. Italy for example can have a high monetary value attributed to it's goods and services due to the high costs of their goods, but a lot of those niggers still shit in outhouses.
