Matthews finally grows a backbone and people are patting him on the back?

I guess he's looking out for his career in the new political environment.

I'm totally patting him on the back. He took that segment and allowed this guy to self-destruct. He could have changed the conversation to be a more informative news segment in any number of ways, but he took the time to basically destroy the credibility of one of his own guests. Whether it was backbone or cruelty, I don't know, but I enjoyed the fuck out of it.
