I think until we as a nation are ready to take pitchforks and torches in hand we should stop our bitching. We have been suckling at the cheap oil teat for too long and now its come to bite us in the ass. The US auto makers are going under (dragged to the bottom chained to their SUV lines and low fuel economy) and a whole slew of bad business models built on cheap oil are about to fail.

Perhaps it takes shit like this for people to go 'Ya know, I am tired of being fucked in the ass. I think I won't buy a car that gets less than 35mpg. I think I will support candidates that will end the fucking subsidies for OIL COMPANIES

i saw a $12k hummer in a used car ad the other day (in what looked like good condition) . I am hearing you cant even trade them in in some places.

The GOV. needs to stop subsidizing oil companies and tax them, stop using corn for industry (fuel additives and plastics) and re-regulate utilities and chemical manufacturers...also stop takings bribes from lobbyists, letting corporations out-source jobs and somewhere over the rainbow...
