That buddy christ article is image free, and it's obviously not the 'official' Jesus article. The Muhammad images are on the Muhammad article itself and not some 'Things That Piss Off Muslims' page. While I don't agree or really give much of a shit about the Muslim religion, they ought to be respected to at least some degree, especially over something as easy as not hosting an image or two.

Of course it isn't the same thing at all though, and I realise that. It is not haram for christians to depict Christ, so posting images of Jesus, even irreverent ones like this, isn't going to raise many hackles, as long as it isn't deliberately insulting.

The Muhammad page doesn't contain any 'absurd' images of Muhammad, either, by the way. It's not the irreverence of the image they object to, but it's mere existance.

Holding hands, kissing in public...I do this with my wife and I see gays and lesbians do this too, BUT i don't go around to strangers and make sure that the first thing they know about me is that i am hetero... I don't go out of my way to make sure everyone knows all my personal business with my wife. I've worked with gay guys that are really cool to hang around with and I have worked with some gay and lesbians that are a supreme pain in the ass. Leading off every sentence with 'you know I am gay right? Well I saw this last night and.....'
