it's a fuck up by the FDA in a small sense, but a fuck up by the farms in a significantly larger sense. the FDA ought to monitor the farms better, but they can't monitor every farm all the time. on the other hand, the farms know damn well that the meat from those cows is not something they ought to use, but they did it anyway.

I was reading an opinion about how much better ALL things are going to be under Obama or Clinton, and the writer said (summarizing) that ....'everything is going to be great, except for those things that have gotten so screwed up as a result of the Bush administration....'.

Yes, in a FEMA sort of way, this administration has to accept responsibility. There are to many impotent agencies sucking up tax dollars and it seems that noone in this administration wants to attempt to hold them accountable for their shortcomings. Did Bush fuck up the FDA? If this agency isn't going to inspect these sites enough to keep them in line with the rules and shut down the ones that continue grinding up potentially diseased meat, it should just be shut down and forgotten about.

i live in the bay area, and they don't do it here. i think they do it in a lot of bigger cities though, because i seem to remember NY doing it.

i went to a chinese place in L.A. that was a C. chinatown in L.A. is like two blocks long, and they had like 4 restaurants. they had fishtanks all over in the restaurant, and they tanks were all dirty as fuk.

It's not done in or around the Detroit area but that doesn't surprise me.
