I'd be willing to bet working HP is achieved at high RPM leading to the invevitable self destruct that high speed x small bearing surface (with appurtenant low mass to sink heat into) must equal as solion predicts.
Yet we could all be working from the wrong premise. There's really only one connecting rod to this crankshaft, and it's stroke is long compared to that of each individual 'piston'; maybe that squares the deal off some.
