| | | | | | Vinyl is Final
I've been playing my old albums for the last few weeks, and the sound difference between them and the discs of the same works is staggering. Like crystal and mud. The string work on the old King Crimson is sublime on vinyl, but cacophonous on disc. Todd is a circus on the LP, a train wreck on disc. Yes, Gentle Giant, PFM are all art on that licorice pizza, yet smudged like a shit stain on the CDs. Even Wishbone Ash and Quicksilver Messenger Service show details like the occasional zip of the finger on the guitar string and crisp snap of the drum stick on the skin that's lacking on the disc.

| | | | | | | | | | | | Traffic indifferent private networks are beneficiaries of this action. As always, the market will stand up and provide what is needed. Premium cost to utilize this type of network. Copyright and content holders will never rub out the vampire, they will just segregate the population. Too bad for them that the population that couldn't give a flip about free access will be dead in 20 - 30 years, or at least not sifting as much torrents as now, but the younger generation won't stand for the limited access and will pay the premium. The other thing that could happen is evolution of encryption for all torrents, but then networks could make users justify these streams. Anyway, the war will never end.
Now back to your trenches. | | | |

| | | | | | | 'a short youtube video they link at the end shows visually the difference between the waveforms, and that made more sense for me'
This is really showing you how compression destroys the dynamics of a waveform. This is the real difference between modern recording and vinyl. The audio quality of 24/96 is light-years better than vinyl if it's mixed and mastered in the same manner and allows dynamic range... the problem is: it isn't. You'll never find a commercial CD that doesn't have it's waveforms squashed flat as a pancake with compression and hard limiting to make it loud as fuck.
Sad but true. | | | |

| Sexual Asspussy | This is awesome.
This is the first pornsite I've found in years that I'd actually advertise to swarmers. When you first load it up, it looks just like every crappy scam site out there, except that it's real. It's huge, it's updated constantly, there's no spam, no popups, and no bullshit -- and it's completely free. When you sign up through that link above and respond to the confirmation email, I make a bit of loose change.
See what other swarmers have to say about it. People love this place, so I feel fine about sending you there and am confident you will enjoy boners.
