I made one of these years ago just to play with. the current (amps) was insane to make enough gas to to fire it up. No free lunch here folks, It is as inefficient a system as you get. But first, lets look at a few MR SCIENCE realizations here.
1) I can touch the tip of my Oxy acetelyne torch as easy as he does his. reason? the gases are under pressure and as they expand (leave the tip) the tip is actually cooled. simple enough.
2) If melting a BRASS ball was a measure of power or thermal energy, Then I have the biggest balls of them all. Quite simply brass and copper due to their
thermal efficientcy and low melting point makes it a quick melt by any torch ( hell I can do it with my little butane one)
3) This has been known FOREVER. Why don't more people use it? see the beginning, the power it takes to run that tiny little torch is insane. and is better spent elsewhere. regardless of the byproduct being water you would turn the sky black powering the damn thing.
