Something about RC cars in particular has always struck me as sad. Not in that snarky 'it's sad you don't have a life' way, though that applies too, probably. The closest thing I can draw a relation to is buying a picture frame from Wal-Mart and leaving the stock model picture in the frame so you have company.

I thought this was somewhat neat until I watched him construct his little lady friend.
