The truth in this case is that the Dems rolled this kid out to cry about the veto of Schip but neglected to say how the State of Maryland has already taken care of the issue.
Why the fuck does the federal government need to be involved in issues that are clearly better handled at the state/local level.
Schip was right to be vetoed and is nothing more than a backdoor attempt to try and federalize healthcare and add more buracracy to government.

In this case, and it doesn't happen too often, I AM correct.
The GOP didn't target this kid at random. They didn't pick him out from the crowd and declare jihad on him. And while the kid is indeed a victim, he's not a victim of the GOP. Instead the blame needs to be directed at the real perpetrators here, the Democrats (and the kid's family) who decided to try and use this kid as a political weapon.
What this kid and his family are going through is indeed tragic, but that is still no reason for my tax money to be spent taking care of them. Especially not when there appears to be a perfectly operational system in place at the state level. | | | |
