| | | | | | Unless I'm missing something, I've seen flash movies of this caliber turned out by semi-anonymous Flash developers every couple months forever, so I'm a bit puzzled by the reception this thing's getting.
The song, on the other hand, is nifty; reminds me a bit of something the Church might have done in an obscure EP or something. I haven't really checked these fags out yet and am doing so now.
| | | | | | | That album is pretty good. Dunno about that video though. | | | |
| | | | | | | Checked out the album hoping for more stripped-down stuff like in the track linked above, but it was the same Gen-Y Well-composed Boring Adult Contemporary stuff as everything else. :( Maybe it'll get better if I give it more time, but I bet I don't bother. | | | |
| | | | | | | I have had this album for several months now, and although innovative and catchy, it just doesn't stay with me. Their first album, IMHO, is much better. But there is no accounting for taste.
Check out Porcupine Tree's Fear of a Blank Planet for something great.
| | | | | | | watching, watching, watching. OK. Broken Social Scene. The Stars. Feist.
Too much. Sophmoric. NEXT!

| | | | | | | I just can't quite figure this band out. I've seen them on Letterman & SNL and they put a lot into their live act- bullhorn, 9-piece band, what's not to like...supposedly? I think the problem is the musical substance isn't there. The lyrics have depth and are profound at times. The concept of the Neon Bible album fits very well into our society as it stands now. The hype seems to be there. It doesn't work for me though as it has nothing that keeps me coming back. It's disappointing because I want to like it due to the aesthetics. Too bad. | | | |
| | | | | | | I found there EP at the local book depository last year.
Found it to be very good stuff.
particularly 'The Woodlands National Anthem'
like Tilly and the Wall, but less gay.

Yeah, the parts of this that are good are great.
Reminds me kinda of Devin Townsend (who is intermittently transcendent) and, for some reason, Deconstruction (which was awesome).
| | | | | | | I like the nightmarish quality of the interactive stuff.
The song is kinda tedious, but listenable, once in a while.
The reference to the odious takeover of America by militant
fundamentalist Christianity, who are DEFINITELY not Chistians, is nicely
nutshelled in those two words , Neon Bible

| Sexual Asspussy | This is awesome.
This is the first pornsite I've found in years that I'd actually advertise to swarmers. When you first load it up, it looks just like every crappy scam site out there, except that it's real. It's huge, it's updated constantly, there's no spam, no popups, and no bullshit -- and it's completely free. When you sign up through that link above and respond to the confirmation email, I make a bit of loose change.
See what other swarmers have to say about it. People love this place, so I feel fine about sending you there and am confident you will enjoy boners.
