This is not surprising, since most US flight attendants are washed up, cranky old hags that are wielding their new power like some high school geek with hall monitor priviledges. Perhaps its just their way of venting, since their jobs and lives must plain suck. Gone are the days of the glamorous flight attendants, full of eye appeal and pleasantries. Now they are more like herders in an abatoire, armed with stun gun personalities.

My apologizes to those female attendants that still could be classified as hotties. I would feel lucky if I caught a glimpse of you walking down my aisle.

As a person who has actually taken small children on a plane, I can say that most flight attendants I've come in contact with are helpful and courteous. Some, however, act exactly as bigdinwaunakee describes. Kids, just like adults, run the gamut from miserable to fantastic as travelers. Considering how crowded, behind schedule, and generally awful air travel is these days, it puts me in a foul mood every time.

I applaud continental for wanting to have a peaceful flight.
