in the after picture there's no more glacier, no more snow. could this be symptomatic? could be seasonal... but if it's a glacial lake that probably wouldn't make sense, or would it?
here's a crazy hypothesis;
glacier melts,
ground structure no longer supported,
hollows are below it,
water seeps through now exposed cracks,
say bye bye, mr. lake.
It could be a part of that whole 'end of the world' thing going on right now where the north and south pole melts and everybody goes fucking crazy.
