I dig the idea he sees complex equations and numbers as three-dimensional glyphs. Our Arabic numerals are just two-dimensional, monochromatic characters representing ideas, and an equation is just a simple, flat glyph to represent a more complex concept.
He goes beyond and has a colored, three-dimensional shape that, I presume, communicates a great deal more about the concept than our language does.
I wonder if we all had his abilities, if we would all agree on the shapes he sees as representative of 333 and 289 and Pi, or are his shapes completely unique to his mind?
