My first thought was - of course IT is boring, you guys are mainframers, that technology went the way of the dinosaurs in the 80's.
Then I thought: 'Hey some people _like_ working the helpdesk.'
But really, most IT management is totally wacked. I would be really upset if my kids said they wanted to go into IT. I don't know _anyone_ in this trade who enjoys their job, looks forward to going to work, or doesn't dream about doing just about anything else (if only other jobs would pay as well).
