Yeah, isn't it funny that American news/political propaganda can make some in our country actually suprised to find out that the place or culture that has been demonized, turns out to be nicer than some places in America?
Not to rag on the good ole' USofA, of which I'm a proud resident, but it always amazes me how fucking arogant our culture really is, while there is sooooooo much more out there than shopping malls, Britney, Cookie-cutter homes, etc. Not to rag, but some Americans think that Disney World is real classy and exotic, while dissing other countries. It just makes me sad that as a country with so much opportunity to see beyond our little selves, some rarely make the effort.
So, thanks for the great pictures. I would like to travel there someday... if we don't bomb the fuck out of the good people and country before I get my ticket.
PS... It would be great if we could have more posts just like this one.... I know there have been some cool ones in the past: N Korea, Russia, but what about China, Vietnam, Iraq (oh, bad suggestion), etc.?
