Here's my basic problem with WTC conspiracies; Why would W or his cronies do this ? He needed no excuse to invade Iraq, he already had one. The action the U.S. took regarding the WTC was sending 5000 troops to Afghanistan.

Well, the Administration needed an excuse to pass the 1984-esque Patriot Act. Cheney and company believe in the Imperial Presidency, and they will go to any means to exploit it.

Well, I believe the Securities and Exchange Commision's Building was a main target at the WTC. It housed all the documents on shit like Enron, along with loads of stuff on Rudy Guiliani and others. Nice excuse to get rid of some incriminating stuff.

In all fairness, I don't think Bush and Co. could have pulled something like this off without word getting out, and I doubt they'd be stupid enough to do it.

Who would have cared if just the Pentagon got hit? Taking down the WTC is what made the world sit up and take notice, not the Pentagon.

I dont think its any coincidence that GW's brother was in on the board of directors of the company responsible for security in ALL the WTC building and creepily enough, Dulles International Airport and United Airlines.

Explain to me how being on the board of a company that handled electronic - not physical - security for the WTC or Dulles & United (the latter 2 completed before 1998) creepy? If you're trying to make a connection between 9/11 and that it's absurd. The same with her pointing out the aviation companies, who the space they lease for their meetings is owned by, or that a Bush is on the board of a bank handling foreign embassy accounts.

You want something meatier to dig into, and if the writer were worth her salt and there was a hint of any conspiracy she'd capatilze on the fact that he was a board member of an insurance carrier for the WTC.

Whats hard for me to believe is that the pentagon was hit with a passenger airliner, WTC7 collapsed without 'inside' help, and that im supposed to believe some guys half way around the world in caves on the Afgan/Pakistan border pulled it off.

I see this point often too, and you actually can have it both ways, since the administration isn't one single entity but composed of, working with, and influenced by thousands of separate individuals, each with an agenda of their own.
