Agreed. Alas, it seems that simple left turns are an insurmountable challenge for some.

The city of Melbourne ( I do not live there) still has trams running down the middle of its streets, and they do a right turn from the left lane of traffic. Seeing as how we drive on the left over here, this means that they are turning across traffic coming towards them AND traffic coming up behind them, AND trying to avoid the trams as well.

Funny as heck. The title is a bit misleading, though, since it's clearly ice on top of snow they're driving on. No matter how good a snow driver you are, the way to drive on ice is to not attempt it.
