It's an interesting case, to be sure. I have no idea what I would do under these circumstances. My gut finds this revolting, but my brain thinks that probably she really does have a better shot at enjoying her life (such as it is) this way.
Also, the kidnappers should pose her with the wandering gnome's pointy hat protuding from various orrifices at jaunty angles.
