you probably wouldn't burn in the atmosphere, as you can't fall fast enough to achieve the weird aerodynamic turbulence that caused columbia to explode. more likely you'd die of loss of blood to the brain as your body starts spinning uncontrollably. or die of hypothermic shock (the opposite of burning to death.)
I will not count out burning to a cinder, because the air is thin high up and you might be able to achieve very fast speeds and then hit thicker air which does burn you up. the jury (of me) is out on this one.
