The torture of innocents isn't the sinthat adultery is. The Ten Commandments do not say anything about 'Thou shalt not torture innocent people' but they sure come down hard on a bit of illicit nookie.

Bush and Cheney do not go under oath. I'm not sure if you ever heard about that. Effectively, they are 'allowed' to lie.

I'm talking about Bush saying 'We don't torture' vs. Clinton saying 'I did not have sexual relations with that woman', both on television. They both lied to America. Which lie was worse?

Maybe the 'we' is literal. 'We' meanng 'Laura and I.'

Depends on what your definition of torture is. When Bush said 'We do not torture,' he was correct, albeit on a technicality. We extradite prisoners to be tortured by other countries. And most of our approved 'torture' techniques are less pulling out teeth with pliers and more sleep deprivation. Less brutal physically, and so some people don't qualify that as torture (because they are idiots),
