Why bother with the representative branches? You could save a whole heap of taxpayers dollars by just letting the President run the whole show himself. Just think- no more elections to pay for or campaigns to contribute to, or greedy politicians pork-barrelling their way to riches. Of course, failing to bow towards DC three times a day or whenever you fart would become a capital offense, but isn't that a small price to pay for all those savings?

I don't understand why he'd add the signing statement here. Isn't director of FEMA escentially a cabinet position? can anyone besides the president appoint someone to the position? If you disagree with the prerequisites in the bill then veto it. to pass it and then add a statement saying that the only person the law applies to doesn't have to follow it... well that's just stoopit... oh wait, now I get it. thanks for giving me a little space to talk that through.
