Not necessarily accurate. If the daughter's menarche is delayed by the presence of her father, the timing may be altered by a sense of safety/solidity in current family affairs. There would therefore be a lack of need for 'early' maturation which could otherwise be necessary to entice a protective male presence, rather than this supposed 'delay' of 'normal' maturation.

Lollllllllllll. Well I can't say that I necessarily approve of the hypothesis, but I do think that it is a relatively good evolutionary explantion. Correlation =/= causation of course, so it's certainly hard to say what it is exactly that would cause this effect.
