I have been to Burns Flats, once. It is in the middle of freakin NOWHERE!

When the air base was open, it had the distinction of having the longest runway in the free world. Alledgedly, there could be three B-52s on the runway at one time (one taking off, one taxiing, and one landing)

People out there are kind of strange as well, so a spaceport may be right up their alley.
