It's interesting to note suicide rates by country as well. The countries with some of the lowest suicides per capita are like Qatar and Egypt, or some such middle eastern places. It's not because they're subjectively happier, but because there is such a severe stigma about suicide in Islam (you go directly to hell, no 72 virgins)
