| | | |
| | | | | | | I'd call it third rate.
As far as this guy likes to reach back into history, he fails to reach back as far as the day after the State of Israel was proclaimed--which happens to be the very same day that Lebanon (and friends) started the war to destroy Israel.
Though true that Hezbollah arose from the Israelli occupation of Southern Lebanon, that occupation would not have been necessary if Lebanon had not first, declared itself an instumumnet of Israel's destruction; second, had patriated, rather than harbored their Arab allies in Israel--those traitors to Israel that are now called 'Palestininians'. So now, finally having elected into their parlament, and recogonized as legitimate, a terrorist organization chartered to destroy Israel, Lebanon really has no fuking business crying 'foul' at any Israelli missile strikes; particularly when that very faction of Lebonese government takes it upon themselves to continue it's violence against Israel.
When it come to Hamas, this guy just pretends Hamas' foundation is irrelevent during his 'Israel didn't want a two-state solution,...' nonsense. Hamas:
'The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews.' (related by al-Bukhari and Moslem). As if the sentiment of The Coveneant of Hamas provides any room for anything but a single (Moslem) State solution. The 'Palestininians' are as intersted in a two-state solution as the fuktards they institute into their governeing body.
And mind you, it was these very same 'Palestinians' that first rejected a 'two-state solution' back in 1947; the very same fuktards, in fact, that allied with Israel's Arab King neigbors in their violent bid for Israel's destruction.
| | | | | | | Bah. Examine these hatreds going back a thousand years or so, and you might start to get a handle on them. | | | |
| | | | | | | And you would come to the same conclusion as LOki. | | | |
| | | | | | | You could come to a different conclusion. That seems like an option also. Anyway the EU and the security council(except the US) is against Israel's attacks because they seem to be killing people, and inciting even more conflict. Nobody's defending Hezbollah, because only terrorists do so, but it seems logical to assume that further bombing them will probably make them bomb more, and not bombing them might make them back off. Lets go for the action that at least theoretically has the chance of making less people die. This is ignoring other complications, like the fact that at least part of the motivation to abduct the Israeli soldiers was the recent crackdown on Palestinians, which of course Hezbollah has sympathy for.
Hezbollah has quite a large degree of support in Lebanon. So Israel is attacking not just Hezbollah, but a significant part of Lebonese society that runs orphanages, hospitals and other needed desperately needed public infrastructure that the democratically-elected government continues to fail to provide. The attacks haven't meaningfully damaged Hezbollah, just Lebonese civilians and infrastructure for the most part. Whatever the support for Hamas, I doubt most Lebonese are happy with Hezbollah's decision to subject them full-on aerial warfare. So I think Israel should stop attacking Lebanon.
The Iraqi parliament passed a resolution condemning Israel's attacks, seems like a sticky ideologically position to be in for our guys in the Oval office.
| | | | | | | Here is Uart's magical foreign policy...
STEP 1) Call every middle eastern head of state
STEP 2) Tell them that they're on their own, unless they fire a nuke -- in which case, we threaten to blow up the entire region.
STEP 3) Leave them to kill each other.
STEP 4) In 10 years, there's nobody left to fight for teh oil!

'You could come to a different conclusion.'
Only if there was some rational means by which you could assert that these 'Palstinians' and their allies have a valid point.
Sorry about your luck. | | | |
| | | | | | | They do have a valid point- they have lived there for several thousand years. Or is that too inconvenient a point to remember?
If Israel was to give up it's expansionist policies, stay inside it's 1948 borders, and make reparations to Lebanon and Palestine, I think that, with the current world climate, a policy of live and let live would follow soon after among the Arab nations. Of course, the US would have to get the fuck out of Dodge as well, and I doubt that that will happen whilst the current regime is in control.

1400, perhaps; but SEVERAL thousand? No. I know it seems like splitting hairs/arguing symantics, but it's an important distinction.

um yeah, no shit ...That was After British Mandate over Palestine expired..
what? the British Mandate over PALESTINE?

Is it really a wonder all the arabs got pissed?
They ALL lived there for thousands of years....but 'they' never handled there own shit without foreign powers pickin sides.

| | | | | | | maybe drop some pixie dust over the area. that should fix the problems. | | | |
| | | | | | | That seems to be the current consensus here. After reading some of this, I better understand a genetics article I read awhile back about how the 'Y' chromosome is dying. | | | |
| | | | | | | apparently i made a blank post. exciting. | | | |

The Palestinians have been there several thousand years. They just didn't call themselves Palestinians, at least not until Roman times.

| | | | | | | Cmon now, give me something to work with | | | |
| | | | | | | Jews ARE palestininians--have been for 'several thousand' years. | | | |

| Sexual Asspussy | This is awesome.
This is the first pornsite I've found in years that I'd actually advertise to swarmers. When you first load it up, it looks just like every crappy scam site out there, except that it's real. It's huge, it's updated constantly, there's no spam, no popups, and no bullshit -- and it's completely free. When you sign up through that link above and respond to the confirmation email, I make a bit of loose change.
See what other swarmers have to say about it. People love this place, so I feel fine about sending you there and am confident you will enjoy boners.
