A buddy of mine canceled his service a year ago. He had the account set-up on autodraft (this is the part where you question his bookkeeping prowess) and has been billed for the service ever since. He just noticed the charges last month. He called and was told that the service was cancelled, but the billing was not due to some error. My friend now faces an up-hill battle to get his skrilla back.

I signed up for a 1-month free trial, so I could try their music service. Of course it sucked, but when I called to cancel the conversation was very similar to this tired episode. The guy was all like I was hurting his feelings n'shit.

so here is a question... I just switched my GF to Cable from AOL. Is there any way she can keep her oh so valuable screen names when she cancels? I know I have had the same AIM screen name for years and have never been an AOL customer.

just have her sign on to AIM with the same old AOL username and password, it should work. Also, if she wants, she can sign up at AOL.com for a 'free email address' and actually keep all of her AOL acct. email without paying for the AOL service.

they kept sending me 'account closing' mail stating that if we didnt pay our bill they were going to close the account. We never had an account with AOL. I would call and be like 'we dont have an avvount with you' and they would say 'what your S.S.# and we will check your account. I was like fuck you. This went on for a year. It was always a pakihandi dude too.
