This resolution has been entered by the same representative, some brack fella, in 2005 and he also has a few co-conspirators on some of his bills but he doesn't seem to be popular with this one.

There is a lot to be said for national service. Everyone having a REAL stake in what the polis do is a good thing. Plus, everyone taking charge and having some pride in their stomping grounds is a good thing too. Course, Charles Rangel is somewhat nutty, but every squriel finds a good one now and then.

Also, the rich and powerful should have to serve just as equally. FDR had five sons serving in active duty during WWII. There should be a certain egalitarian nature to our republic where we all throw in our nickel. It would certainly build back some national unity and a common vision deal. I'm getting all misty here. Dang.
