Apple stores are horrible places. They have this elitest attitude, like they're trying real real hard to live up to the 'genius' status printed on their t-shirt uniforms.
I got an Apple I-Pod shuffle (free at a company event - wouldn't have paid for one), and it didn't work, so I went to the Apple store. We were the only customers there, and I told the guy at the 'genius bar' the problem, but had us sign in at the computer at the other end of the store (which told me it could be a half-hour wait), then about ten minutes later one of their 'geniuses' finally wandered out of the back and asked me again what the problem was, disappeared for another ten minutes trying to see if he could replace a part (solid-state, 2cent board - just replace the damn thing), before giving up and replacing the damn thing. Should have taken 5 minutes.
The replacement stopped working after three days.
