Forget about Reason, Ableton Live, Pro-Tools or Logic
I have to use all of those for my degree. And they suck ass apart from Ableton.
Reason is for kids.
Pro-tools is overly labour intensive, albeit powerful. But still shit.
Logic, arghhhhhhhhhhh, MACs drive me up the fucking wall. We use G5s at University, whats with the fucking one button mouse and having to force quit every bastard 10 minutes!!!!! I use it for film scoring and sound design occasionally though.
Ableton Live is great for random improvised noise gigs, i know, because i do them.
The future of sequencing and music production in general, is SONAR 5 my friends. A monstrous beast of unrivalled power, 64 bit support and 5.1 mixing. I stroke my copy of Sonar everyday to remind her how much i love her.
Oh yeah, and sheep beats is pretty cool. hmmm.
