I don't know economics for shit, but If the US economy collapses, wouldn't most of the other major coutries follow suit? aren't we all connected globaly?

It would seem that the USA has become the selfish fat bully child of the world, using 25% of the words resources and only looking after its own interests. The rest of the world is waking up to this and are looking to gang up to beat the bully. America can no longer be trusted to 'lead the world'. This seems such a shame, After WWII the USA was the most admired and respected country, and had got to this position because of its bravery, sacrifice and technological leadership. Unfortunately it has become bloated and arrogant over the last 60 years and is now an exporter of obesity and greed. Now the USA represents the most dangerous country- armed to the teeth and feeling threatened, it may only take a small shift to unleash its cultural paranoia, and start throwing punches (read- nukes) around to show 'everybody' whose the boss. All empires come to a close, the USA is going to go out with a bang.

I don't buy this article. There's a lot of arguments with no facts to back them up, or even statements that are logical. It's like they're saying, 'you have to believe us, because 'the dollar is going to get crunched' and 'banks are going to flood with Euros' and 'the greenback is the capital of America.'


All these statements are big and impressive, but it's hard to really understand what any of them means, with or without context. Maybe I'm just not good at economics and all of this makes sense. Or maybe this article is shady.
