I installed it, I don't have any of those drivers installed, but I couldn't get it to work anyway

Those drivers do not appear in my device manager either.
However, a search of my registry does find several starforce entries...

Is it only a problem if the device drivers are active in the device manager?

After reading up on starforce drivers I feel pretty bad about submitting this link. On principal I think this link should be removed from LS. It is a beautiful game and free but it carries a cost I was not aware of.

I'll PM vasudeva and tell him what I think and leave it in his hands.

I don't have time to figure out what starforce is or how bad it is, but if enough people hate, let's reject this and leave it player's choice.

Basically,Starforce protected CD`s/DVD`s are the hardest to emulate.Sometimes you can get StarFuck to remove the protection and allow you to mount the image with Daemontools to emulate the drive.

This game apparently has been released to the public,otherwise you wouldn`t be able to play the game without taking some measures to stop Starforce.

**It may be writing home,so if you use something like Kapersky Antihacker,it will show you when it tries to make a connection,and you can stop it.
