At first I was like ' Wow, that's a cool idea'. Then I get to the bottom and find out that if it loses power you lose everything.

I think they are on to a good idea, but there is still a long way to go before something like this goes mainstream. The power problem needs to be solved, and the size issue will be a problem.

And to max it out at 4GB wont be cheap

read somewhere that battery backup is estimated at 10 hrs. just use a cronjob to flush to disk every x min and you'll be fine.

Even if you only put in 1 or 2 gigs, it would make a helluva nice scratchdisk for Photoshop or a swapfile drive for Windows. If it's only high speed temp storage the batteries become irrelevant.
