Recent studies suggest that marijuana use in teens can cause long term damnage. It suggests that marijuana(cannabis)or more specifically, Delta 9-THC, when introduced into a brain that has not fully developed, can cause lasting effects to the brain. However, there is no evidence suggesting that a fully developed adult brain has any negative effects that don't go away after the drug is discontinued. Please, there are far more harmful chemicals of abuse out there to demonize, like alcohol.

We had an apprentice at work ( he got the boot last week ) who started smoking when he was 12 or 13, and his head was totally fucked up. I mean this kid was just plain stupid. ( He got even more stupid after a smoke, which he did at lunchtime quite regularly, no-one would work with him in the afternoon, it was too dangerous ). The adults I know who smoke up function quite normally though, even those who have been smoking for 30 years.

if that kid had a total mental breakdown, then he was doing some heavier shit then just weed. i don't care what his father thinks.

^^^ I agree. Its bullshit. The kid is on other shit. Maybe there are some people that it effects differently but the majority rules. Alcohol and prescribed drugs are far more worse and kills more per year then weed, in fact have you ever heard of anyone getting ded from the weed....NO.
