this is a bunch of crap, this is only a political move to make europe feel special. I've worked on survey GPS and construction lasers for the last 5 years..this new system will do nothing different or new, it's just a way for euopeons to have GPS and not use our satellites. We already have centimeter accuracy with DGPS systems, something thats been in use for years. And with topcons laser enhanced system we have millimeter GPS for construction layout.

The new network will give EU states guaranteed access to a space-borne precise timing and location service independent of the United States.

Unlike the USA based GPS system that cockinhisass works on, this one will be used to track and charge cars for their road use.
