You can't deny Sex Pistols in the big picture of R&R history. Love em or hate em, they are a huge part of the story, not to mention ushering in a genre to the bigger masses. Sure, you can mention Ney York Dolls or U.K. Subs or whatnot, but they were locals only for the best part of their career. As much as I love Devo (100%), Blondie belonged in there first, as they are the only truly definable 'New Wave' act to make big national distribution. Oh yeah, they also recorded the first rap on record.
