There was a kid at my school (back in 1990) who was infamous after the FBI took him away. The story was that he shared his secret for hacking into AT&T with a friend of his, who then used that knowledge to switch one of his professor's telephone number with a 900 sex line, and was inevitably busted. Word is he spent 2 years in minimum security and upon his release was immediately hired as a security specialist.
